Main Features


Good Environmental Protection: The IG541 fire extinguishing agent is a mixture of nitrogen, argon, and carbon dioxide in the proportion of 52%, 40%, and 8%, which are three basic components of the atmosphere. After use, it returns to nature in its original components. Its ozone depletion potential (OPD) is 0, it has no impact on the Earth's "greenhouse effect", and it does not produce chemicals that have a long-term impact on the atmospheric lifetime.


High Safety: It causes no harm to the human body at the specified fire extinguishing concentration, so it is suitable for use in places where people are working. It is non-toxic, colorless, odorless, non-corrosive, and non-conductive. It neither supports combustion nor reacts with most substances.


High Fire Extinguishing Efficiency: It can usually extinguish a fire within 40 seconds. It can quickly reduce the oxygen concentration in the protected area to below 12.5% that can support combustion, effectively suppressing the combustion of the flame.
Long-distance Transportation: With a relatively high working pressure, it is more suitable for gas fire extinguishing systems for large spaces, long-distance protection, and large-scale use. In the combined distribution mode, it can be connected to a maximum of 8 protected areas.

 


Design Requirements


Area and Volume of the Protected Area: The area of a protected area should preferably not exceed 800 square meters, and its volume should preferably not exceed 3,600 cubic meters.


Selection of System Components: Appropriate fire extinguishing agent storage cylinder groups, nozzles, pipelines, and other system components should be selected according to the specific situation of the protected area to ensure the fire extinguishing effect and reliability of the system.


Installation of Safety Facilities: The protected area should be equipped with a relief opening, which is preferably located above two-thirds of the net height of the protected area; the door of the protected area should open in the evacuation direction and be able to close automatically; emergency lighting and evacuation signs should be installed in the protected area.
Maintenance and Management


Routine Inspection: Regularly check the pressure and appearance of the fire extinguishing agent storage cylinder groups to ensure they are normal; inspect the system's pipelines, valves, nozzles, and other components to see if there are any leaks or blockages; check the function of the automatic fire alarm and extinguishing control system to ensure its normal operation.


Regular Maintenance: Conduct a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the system once a quarter, including cleaning system components and replacing aged or damaged parts; conduct a simulated starting test and a gas injection test once a year to test the performance of the system.


Fault Handling: When a fault occurs in the system, it should be promptly investigated and repaired to ensure that the system can be put into normal use when needed.
