Gas fire suppression equipment manufacturer

From blueprint design to cylinder inspection, from installation and commissioning to remote operations and maintenance—Xinlin’s 3,500-square-meter smart manufacturing base simplifies fire‑protection engineering.

Safety Requirements for the Use of Heptafluoropropane Fire Suppression Systems

2026-08-25

Emergency lighting and evacuation signage shall be installed in the evacuation routes and exits within the protected area.

1. Prior to the activation of the heptafluoropropane fire suppression system, ensure that all personnel have been evacuated within 30 seconds.

1) Evacuation passages and exits within the protected area shall be equipped with emergency lighting and evacuation direction signs. Fire alarm sounders shall be installed in the protected area, and strobe alarms may be added where necessary.

2) At the entrance to the protected area, fire alarm sound and light devices, a discharge‑indication lamp, and permanent signage indicating the type of gaseous fire‑extinguishing system employed shall be installed. The discharge‑indication lamp signal shall remain active until the protected area has been adequately ventilated, at which point it may be manually reset.

3) Doors in the protected area shall open in the direction of evacuation and be capable of self-closing; doors used for evacuation must be operable from within the protected area.

4) After the discharge of heptafluoropropane, the protected area shall be ventilated. For underground protected areas and above‑ground protected areas without windows or with fixed window sashes, a mechanical ventilation system shall be installed; the exhaust outlets should be located at the lower part of the protected area and vent directly to the outdoors. In spaces such as telecommunications equipment rooms and electronic computer rooms, the air exchange rate shall be no less than five times per hour.

2. The installation location of the heptafluoropropane fire suppression system shall comply with the following requirements:

1) The ambient temperature shall be between 0 and 50°C, and the environment must remain dry and well-ventilated.

2) The air shall not contain explosive, conductive dust, or corrosive substances that could damage components; otherwise, appropriate protective measures must be implemented. The system shall be protected from vibration and impact.

3) Personnel responsible for system installation and commissioning shall be familiar with the system’s basic structure, operating principles, performance characteristics, and sequence of operations, as well as the basic structure and operational status of each valve.

4. Gas cylinders shall be kept away from heat sources. During transportation, they must be handled with care; impact, horizontal placement, and inversion are strictly prohibited.

5. New safety diaphragms must be supplied by the designated vendor; unauthorized substitution with untested diaphragms is prohibited.

6. During disassembly and assembly, avoid damaging the surface to prevent compromising the appearance.

7. Unauthorized personnel must not touch or tamper with any components of this system to prevent accidents.
