Gas fire suppression equipment manufacturer
From blueprint design to cylinder inspection, from installation and commissioning to remote operations and maintenance—Xinlin’s 3,500-square-meter smart manufacturing base simplifies fire‑protection engineering.
This paper outlines the classification and applications of heptafluoropropane fire suppression systems.

Heptafluoropropane fire suppressant boasts excellent clean‑agent properties—completely vaporizing in the atmosphere without leaving any residue—and superior gas‑phase electrical insulation. It is suitable for total‑flooding extinguishing of electrical fires, liquid fires, or fires involving fusible solids, as well as surface fires on solids and gas fires where the gas supply can be shut off prior to suppression. It provides protection for computer rooms, telecommunications equipment rooms, switchgear and distribution rooms, precision instrument rooms, generator rooms, oil storage facilities, warehouses storing flammable chemicals, and archives, data repositories, record rooms, and vaults.
The heptafluoropropane fire suppression system features a well‑designed structure and reliable operation, and has been widely deployed in critical facilities such as computer rooms, archives, stored‑program control switch rooms, television broadcasting centers, as well as financial institutions and government agencies. At ambient temperatures, heptafluoropropane exists in a gaseous state; it is colorless, odorless, non‑conductive, non‑corrosive, free from environmental restrictions, and has a relatively short atmospheric lifetime. Its fire‑extinguishing mechanism primarily involves interrupting the combustion chain, with an exceptionally rapid extinguishing rate—advantages that make it particularly suitable for the protective suppression of sensitive electronic equipment and valuable assets.
The no‑observed‑adverse‑effect level (NOAEL) for heptafluoropropane is 9%, while the lowest‑observed‑adverse‑effect level (LOAEL) is 10.5%. The design concentration of heptafluoropropane is typically below 10%, ensuring human safety. It is characterized by excellent clean‑agent properties—completely vaporizing in the atmosphere without leaving residues—along with superior gas‑phase electrical insulation and favorable physical properties suitable for fire‑extinguishing systems. In the early 1990s, industrially advanced countries pioneered the use of heptafluoropropane as a replacement for halon fire‑extinguishing systems, achieving significant success.
Heptafluoropropane fire suppression systems are available in two configurations: piped‑network and non‑piped (cabinet‑type and suspended). The piped‑network system, in turn, is divided into internal‑pressure and external‑pressure types, with the primary distinction being the maximum delivery distance of the extinguishing agent. Internal‑pressure systems typically have a delivery range of no more than 30 meters, whereas external‑pressure systems can deliver the agent up to 150 meters.
