Gas fire suppression equipment manufacturer

From blueprint design to cylinder inspection, from installation and commissioning to remote operations and maintenance—Xinlin’s 3,500-square-meter smart manufacturing base simplifies fire‑protection engineering.

Let’s explore the performance characteristics of heptafluoropropane.

Although heptafluoropropane is relatively stable at room temperature, it still decomposes at high temperatures, producing hydrogen fluoride with a pungent odor.

Although heptafluoropropane is relatively stable at room temperature, it still decomposes at elevated temperatures, producing hydrogen fluoride with a pungent odor. Other combustion products include carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide. Contact with liquid heptafluoropropane can cause frostbite. Heptafluoropropane can also serve as a propellant in rocket propulsion systems.

Heptafluoropropane is used in metered‑dose inhalers for pharmaceutical administration, such as those employed in asthma treatment. As a fire‑extinguishing agent, heptafluoropropane exhibits excellent clean‑agent properties—completely vaporizing in the atmosphere without leaving any residue—and boasts superior gas‑phase electrical insulation. It is well suited for total‑flooding fire suppression of electrical fires, liquid fires, or fires involving fusible solids, as well as solid‑surface fires and gas fires where the gas supply can be shut off prior to extinguishing.

It protects computer rooms, telecommunications equipment rooms, switchgear and distribution rooms, precision instrument rooms, generator rooms, oil storage facilities, warehouses for flammable chemicals, as well as libraries, data archives, record repositories, vaults, and other such areas. The heptafluoropropane fire suppression system features a well‑designed structure and reliable operation, and has been widely deployed in critical facilities such as computer centers, archives, stored‑program control switching rooms, television and radio broadcasting centers, financial institutions, and government agencies.

Heptafluoropropane is a colorless, odorless gas at room temperature; it is non-conductive, non-corrosive, and subject to no environmental restrictions, with a relatively short atmospheric lifetime. Its fire‑extinguishing mechanism primarily involves interrupting the combustion chain, and it extinguishes fires extremely rapidly—making it well suited for the protective suppression of sensitive electronic equipment and valuable assets. The no‑observed‑adverse‑effect level (NOAEL) for heptafluoropropane is 9%, while the lowest observed adverse effect level (LOAEL) is 10.5%. Design concentrations are typically kept below 10%, ensuring human safety.
